This Idyllic French Chateau is a beautiful castle in the heart of one of the oldest and most stunning regions of France: Périgord. Nestled in the hills of the Dordogne valley, it occupies a magnificent site and offers four places of accommodation.
The main chateau is the castle you drew when you were a kid; the turrets, the courtyard, the roses climbing the walls, and Alice in wonderland gardens elevated within rolling meadows surrounded by forest. There are photo oportunities in every direction, magical light qualities and warm golden stone, as well as some cool contemporary design surprises hidden behind rustic exteriors.
The Idyllic French Chateau, a historic monument, gives you the opportunity to organize your wedding in the reception rooms of the castle as well as the beautiful outdoor spaces including the courtyard of the castle, the oust terrace and the gardens. In the heart of the park, in the roses, possibility of renting 6 furnished tents each for 2 guests. You can also rent the right wing and accommodate 13 people, and an old tobacco shed converted into a loft space for 2-4 people. The Press can also accommodate 10 adults and 2 children, in a beautiful valley with its own swimming pool 800m walk from the Castle, or 1km by road. This means that the Chateau can host 18 guests which is included in the price and it's other venues mean we can accomodate up to 44 guests in total.
The Castle is surrounded by 5 hectares of parks and gardens, and your first neighbors are no less than 1 kilometer away, guaranteeing you peace and tranquility. You can enjoy the garden and the swimming pool , nestled among the hundred-year-old trees.
Indulge in classic elegant French country style at the Chateau with it's roll top baths, antiques and a bread oven in the kitchen, or the minimalist-rustic reinterpretation of an old tobacco barn turned loft style appartment, swim as the sun sets in our perfectly placed salt pool, enjoy the luxury of space.
Since its origins in the 14th century, the Estate has endured many architectural changes. One of the additions was the family chapel . A charming little chapel, perfect for an intimate wedding. There is also the possibility of organizing a secular wedding in the park. The charming market town which is 1km away has a superb Romanesque church, and a beautiful Abbey is located 7km from the Castle through the forest so there are plenty of options for your ceremony.
Le Fournial kitchen terrace is the best spot for a shady lazy lunch the day after your wedding or get their for aperitif time when the sun hits with a glass of bubbly to celebrate your big day. Walk up into the forest for the best panoramic view, watch the chateau turn pink at sunrise or head to the pool for a sunset swim with swallows swooping down to the pool to cool off. There are also plenty of large lawned areas with some natural shade, flanked on one side by topiary and roses, and on the other fruit trees perfect for your wedding photograhs. The lime tree avenue at the far end of the garden is a fantastic spot for outdoor wedding ceremonies, the options are endless!
All guests have access to the chateau gardens and estate during their stay. Our concierge brings you fresh patisserrie every morning, and is happy to recommend and organise activities during your stay, which could be pretty much anything from a cookery class, to hot air ballooning over the Dordogne valley. Prior to your stay our planning and styling team work with you creatively to create an event which truely represents who you are, including unlimited communications, especially important when organising from afar.
The price for the Chateau is from 16,900 euros which includes the venue hire (7000 euros) and accomodation for 18 guests (9900 euros) within the main chateau for 3 nights. For the further accomodation this will be additional on top for your guests if you are to require that. All quotes are specific to the request to please do send a message for an accurate quotation.
