With mountains in the background and a lake on your doorstep, your guests will gaze upon this majestic chateau that has been lovingly resorted whilst keeping its authentic character.

Description

With its origins dating back to the 13th century, this Château offers a fascinating dive into the past, with its stone walls telling tales of nobility, intrigue and architectural evolution. Whether you are a history buff, a culture enthusiast or simply looking for a spectacular location in the heart of breathtaking nature, this venue promises an unforgettable experience steeped in medieval charm and enchanting landscapes.

Over 1,000 years ago this building began as a simple watchtower, which was enlarged into a small fort, and then into a real fortress at the dawn of the Renaissance. At the beginning of the 18th century, it became a private residence. Today it is open to the public with Bed & Breakfast style guestrooms, guided tours, concerts, cooking classes and dinner events, conferences, weddings... and more!

Within the Château estate, a sumptuous French-style garden was carefully restored at the end of the 20th century. This harmonious garden is distinguished by carefully selected vegetation to adapt to the local climate; from hot and arid summers to cold winters.

A precious witness to the historical and architectural heritage of the Hautes-Alpes, the castle and its gardens offer an experience that combines history, nature and timeless beauty.

Location

Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Wedding VenueThis is quite possibly one of the most spectacular locations on earth. You may have seen celebrity weddings taking place here and you may have even seen huge yachts taking off from St Tropez, but now it is possible for you to have your very own wedding here as well.

The five-star hotels that are in this area are not to be missed and this is actually one of the most sought-after wedding destinations in the world. It’s important to know that this is the main hub when it comes to country roads.

The French Riviera is not only Saint Tropez though! The coast between Nice and Marseille is also well known for its charming and picturesque villages such as Cassis, Sanary, les Goudes, Giens, Hyères, Bormes-Les-Mimosas and Cagnes sur Mer. However, if you would prefer to get married in a field of lavender, or if you want to have an idyllic rural setting that will really make your big day magical we suggest you have a look at the most famous villages in the heart of Provence such as Gordes, Roussillon, Tourtour, Eze, Saint-Paul de Vence. This is easily one of the most picturesque locations in France, and even though it may not be rich in architecture, it certainly makes up for it when you look at the stunning sights that Mother Nature herself is able to provide. The wedding venues in this area are just as spectacular, and if you choose the right spot, you may not even have to decorate. It really is that beautiful to look at.

Reviews

  • I visited in 2023 during a solo trip and fell in love with the place. The beauty of the castle, nestled in the charming village , with breathtaking views and the surrounding mountains, immediately captured my heart. The warm reception from the family was so unforgettable that I decided to have my wedding there the following year. The owners, were incredibly kind and attentive, ensuring that every detail was perfect. The historic atmosphere, the enchanting gardens, and the serenity of the area made it the perfect venue. Thanks to the owners help, my wedding day was absolutely flawless. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a stunning, magical setting with exceptional hospitality!
