Description

Full of magic and charm, the château will seduce you and your guests with its authenticity, its history and its exceptional architectural quality. The Chateau is located on the banks of a meandering river and surrounded by 120 acres of park and gardens.

Built at the beginning of the 17th century, the classic castle is firmly anchored on the foundations of the old fortified castle and still protected by its watery moats and the river.

A combination of stunning French architecture and history, this beautiful Chateau is located in the southern part of the Loire valley. It is an ideal venue to organize your wedding.

It is easily accessible by road and rail and there is plenty to see and do in the local area. The Chateau's namesake village has been awarded the title of "most beautiful village" in the region and the restoration of the estate's historic gardens was awarded a prize by the European Commission.

Reviews

  • With a private party of 23 for our son’s destination wedding near a lovely enclosed gazebo straddling the moat, we had our own castle, “keep” and gardens on roughly 200 acres. Four days was the delight of a lifetime; to walk where the privileged of centuries walked, but with the most gracious hosts. Breakfast on fruit from the well-kept onsite orchard: dripping pears and apples along with myriad juices, jams, cheeses, croissants, baguettes and cereals. Church bells, bleating sheep, peacocks and roosters serenaded us in the morning at this slice of regal heaven made accessible to a common heart.

  • We recently had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Chateau and it was absolutely magical. The owners were incredibly helpful. They provided us with suggestions for vendors (which all turned out wonderfully), helped us set up for the ceremony and reception, and made us and our guests feel incredibly welcomed and at home. The chateau itself is beautifully decorated and each room has its own character. The town is also amazing and looks like a postcard. There are three restaurants, a grocery store, a bakery, and a tabac. Everything you need is either in the village or a short drive away. We highly recommend the Chateau for your wedding, large event, or even for an intimate stay (you can rent a single room).
