Set in the heart of the national park the monastery is a former Cistercian monastery which has been converted into a superb guest house and wedding venue.
The owner will help you to settle in quickly and endeavor to make the stay one that you will treasure.
A magical place
Some of the many places which provide an exceptional backdrop for your celebrations and photos include the cloister and its fountain, the garden surrounded by trees that are centuries old, the vegetable garden and, of course, the swimming pool. There are also numerous halls and rooms as well as a chapel for you to use at your leisure.
Dining & catering
Your taste buds will never forget the delectable dishes made by our chef, and his team. Carefully tailored to the needs of each group, the chef offers a varied menu using fresh produce harvested from our very own vegetable garden.
Weddings and special events
Your guests will be delightfully surprised by this original, tranquil and uniquely enchanting venue. Set in 8 hectares, the grounds of the monastery boast their amphitheatre, chapel, cloister, and gardens. The monastery can accommodate large groups.
Surrounding area
Le Monastère invites you to enjoy a wonderful stay in the heart of Haute-Provence. This former Cistercian monastery is located 6km from a picturesque village known for its faience pottery. It is set in the heart of the national park. There are many sporting and cultural activities on offer in the area. We are also privileged to be located in the Géoparc de Haute-Provence, the first of its kind created by UNESCO in 2000 which has served a historical reference model to the other 127 Geoparks found in 35 countries across the world.
Exuding hospitality and charm, the monastery and its grounds will leave your guests spellbound at every turn, whatever the season. You are free to arrange and decorate reception areas as you wish to suit the order of festivities. There is enough room to seat up to 150 people and still have room for dancing.
The cloister makes a delightful choice for the wedding toast. Or, perhaps, you might prefer the amphitheatre with its spectacular view over Haute Provence. The wedding breakfast may be served outside under the majestic oak tree which stands proudly on the forecourt, or even in the recently restored 19th-century chapel.
Set in acres of greenery, not only is the monastery a spectacular venue but it also radiates hospitality and a spirit of festivity. Rest assured your hosts will do their utmost to make your dreams come true. Your wedding day will be full of magic and unique to you.
You can reserve the whole monastery for the weekend for up to 70 guests which is particularly handy for friends and family who live far away.
