The Normandy Barn was built in the 17th century and 16 years ago, the property was transformed into authentic Normandy wedding venue with beautiful accommodation. The property is located in Lower Normandy, in the middle of the countryside with the river meandering through our landscaped gardens which has plenty of character with a lake and a swimming pool for your guests to enjoy.
Completely renovated, the 17th century barn has a large reception room with a bar and a fully-equipped kitchen. The reception room, built in the traditional Norman style, will allow you to accommodate between 80 and 90 people. It offers a superb view of the lake. A large marquee that can accommodate up to 200 people can be set up in the magnificent park.
Surrounded by beautiful gardens with separate areas for drinks on the lawn and a ceremony in the garden, the venue will allow you to receive your guests for a ceremony and a reception on site. The main house and cottages can accommodate up to 44 persons with the ability to add more as needed in luxury tents, all located in the domain. The buildings dating from the 17th century offer the Norman charm in stone buildings, modern comfort, peace and quiet and a perfect place to welcome family and friends for a private event. There are numerous activities on site and in the area to keep your guests amused or just sit relax and drink in the peace and quiet of the domaine.
The Normandy Barn has a swimming pool and a fishing lake populated by tench, carp and trout. Fishing permits are included for guests. There is also a boat for paddling around the lake, which is popular with adults and children, and a games room. The south-facing swimming pool is secure and has a large terrace with sun loungers and a tropical garden which is an ideal location for a brunch the day after your wedding day for all your guests to relax.
We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint by recycling and composting our waste for landfill. We use environmentally friendly cleaning products and are planning on converting the old water wheel from the old fromagerie to create our own electricity.
A little about me: I am Stuart I have been running The Normandy Barn almost 20 years. We have been organising weddings and creating the best venue and experience for our guests. We host over 40 weddings a year so are experienced and have local reliable contacts for caterers and suppliers to ensure your day is special and stress free. We offer a fully catered and organised package, or we can just rent you the domain. This is entirely up to you and we do not insist on you using any particular supplier.
I am here to help so please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions I will be happy to help. I look forward to hearing from you.
