This rustic 14th Century hamlet is a typical place of the Ornais bocage located in the heart of Normandy, 40 minutes from Caen. Its facades, its openings, its gadage, its fireplaces and bread ovens are a fine example of the Lower Normandy rural heritage, which since the 14th century has seen successive generations, who have adapted it to their needs over time.
Around a 160 m2 air-conditioned reception room, tastefully decorated, bright and comfortable, which can accommodate up to 150 people ideal for small or large wedding receptions. It is fully equipped, with all the furniture, a professional kitchen and sanitary facilities meeting standards for the disabled. The sober and tasteful decor adapts to all your receptions and can be modified to add your personal touch. The indirect lighting, the hangings on the ceiling, the large west-facing windows provide exceptional light and make this room a high place for receptions, renowned throughout the region. The lodgings, in the immediate vicinity, allow your guests to sleep, thus avoiding them to resume the road after the party. You can access the room to prepare your decoration from Friday (or even Thursday) and you will return the keys on Sunday evening or Monday if you wish. We do not impose a time limit on your evening and there is no corkage to be paid, the furniture is included in the price and you have total freedom to choose your service providers.
There are 6 lodgings which are distributed in the village and can accommodate up to 70 people, from May 2020 we have just opened another 2 new lodgings bringing the capacity to 85 beds on site.
This beatiful rustic venue also has a heated swimming pool with terrace for cocktails and swimming ideal for a pre or post wedding event. There is also a jacuzzi, an unusual accommodation: a cabin on the island in the center of the pond, a breeding of sport horses "French saddle", several hectares of bocage composed of an orchard of 70 tall apple trees, sunken lanes bordered by hedges, woods and meadows where many horses and foals graze creating some very pictureque settings for photographs on your big day. We also have a Helipad to welcome our customers wishing to join us by helicopter.
In a totally unspoilt green setting, in harmony with nature, you will have a whole range of leisure activities available including 300 km of marked mountain bike trails in the immediate vicinity, outings cultural, gastronomic or well-being (thermal baths only 17 km away) and even flame blowing shows. We are also a very family friendly venue and can help organise baby sitting services for couples with young children.
