A venue that offers the style and adventure of a French wedding, without the cost and inconvenience of catching flights. Set in ten acres of parkland, the chateau provides a magnificent backdrop. There are twelve bedrooms, with eleven bathrooms - and a dining room table that can seat thirty.
Just 25m from the chateau are the stables. The newly renovated space can seat 120 guests, has wonderful light for photographs and great acoustics for speeches. The building can be completely open on one side if the weather is good, or closed if not. In addition to the main area, there is a bar, a room for dancing, kitchens and toilets.
All the bedrooms at the chateau were completely refurbished in 2017. There are nine double bedrooms (eight with en suite bathrooms), two twin bedrooms (both en suite) and a bedroom with four singles and separate bathroom. So that’s room for 26 in all (or 17 if no one shares a bed).
The chateau itself is the perfect base for a wedding. The grand entrance is ideal for formal pictures, we have a wonderful bridal suite — and there are two large areas for bridesmaids and groomsmen to dress. We even have two staircases in the house, so accidental sightings of each other before the ceremony can be avoided! Most importantly, the chateau is large enough to allow a wedding party of up to 26 to stay together in great comfort. The dining room table seats 30 — ideal if you are planning a dinner the night before the wedding for family and friends. We can also park 30 cars on a lawn away from the chateau to keep everything looking beautiful.
The chateau sits on the edge of a village. There is a beautiful church a short stroll from the gates, and a hotel that is a five-minute drive away. Wedding planning is available to those who would like help, and there is a list of potential local suppliers for those who prefer to organise things themselves.
